Ahmarra ‘Tough Mudders’ raise over £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Posted by Ahmarra on 30th September 2016
18 staff from Ahmarra raised over £1,260 by taking on the Tough Mudder event at Holmbush Farm in Faygate on 17th September.
Ahmarra presented their donation cheque to Kim Appleby, the Macmillan Fundraising Manager at their Macmillan Coffee Morning event at their factory and offices in Farlington, Portsmouth on Friday 30th September 2016.
Vicki Boulton, Marketing Manager, said 'Macmillan has long been a favourite charity for our staff to support, as sadly cancer has affected so many of us personally. Our regular coffee mornings have always been popular but this year some of our bravest staff members volunteered to take on the gruelling Tough Mudder endurance course and despite a few minor injuries and many bruises, they raised a phenomenal £1,260 for Macmillan”.
Tough Mudder Half London South is the leading five mile obstacle course challenge in the world. It features 13 obstacles spread over varied terrain that includes overgrown woodlands, scenic trails and lots and lots of mud.
Ahmarra’s team included Alex Doran, Ashley Andrews, Aston Rauccio, Bill Cobb, Danny Fowles, Ellis Rauccio, Gareth Goddard, Joe Flood, Joe Swales, Igor Sporszyl, Kellie Doran, Mick Kinchin, Natalie Ewens, Phil Osborne, Robbie Stilwell, Sharon Stange, Toby Cheverton and Sam Doran.
'We are delighted to support Macmillan,' said Vicki ‘both Tough Mudder and the Macmillan Coffee Morning offered us the perfect opportunity to show our support for such a worthy cause’.
