Ahmarra has supplied internal fire doors and screens from its Education Range for a primary school in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

Berewood Primary School is sponsored by the University of Chichester Academy Trust and is at the centre of a 3,000-home development to the west of the town. The single-storey school features 14 classrooms, four group rooms, a staff room and offices, while the main hall has been designed as a flexible area that can be used for assemblies, as a dining hall, a performance space and a gymnasium.

Ahmarra's range of high performance, FSC timber doorsets and screens were selected for this projects by the main contractor, Balfour Beatty. Fire rated doorsets were specified throughout in a ‘Primed Eco Veneer’, this pre-primed paper veneer has been designed as a time saving initiative for paint grade doors. It is ideal for concealing lippings and ensuring a smoother paint finish. The doors were then painted on-site in grey to match the schools colour scheme.
