Fire door manufacturer, Ahmarra Door Solutions are very proud to be working with ISG and Hazelwood Carpentry for the supply of timber doorsets and glazed screens for ‘Two Central Square’ in Cardiff. The project forms part of the largest office, retail and residential space ever constructed in Wales.

Ahmarra hosted a factory audit tour to demonstrate their door production capabilities as well as quality/environmental processes. Ahmarra’s contract will consist of manufacture over 400 bespoke doorsets, many of which are 2.7m high and full polyurethane paint finished, various levels of acoustic and fire performances, via specialist joinery sub-contractor, Hazelwood Carpentry.

Ahmarra’s Business Development Manager, Martyn Fennell commented ‘Ahmarra are very pleased to be part of such a major development. We look forward to continuing our collaborative working with the contractors and architects to ensure they receive 1st class product and service to meet their bespoke high-end specification and the whole company is looking forward to developing long-term relationships with the wider team working on this prestigious scheme”.

‘Two Central Square’ has been designed in partnership with architects, Harmsen Tilney Shane, IBI Group & Foster + Partners, and is currently under construction through main contractor, ISG.

It will comprise a Grade A office building of approximately 148,000 sq ft with basement car parking. The whole building has been pre-let to Hugh James Solicitors and Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. It will be ready for occupation in September 2018.

Following a tour of the production facility, Marcus Porche, Business Development Manager for Hazelwood Carpentry, commented ‘We learned a lot about your business and products, but importantly your passion for doing things well. It’s great to see a business with a purpose and a business owner with such enthusiasm, passion and knowledge in his product and its production’.
