What are Pre-hung Doorsets?
The British Standard BS EN 12519 defines a fire doorset as; ‘A complete unit consisting of a door frame and a door leaf or leaves, supplied with all essential parts from a single source’. This means that the door leaf is pre-hung in its frame whilst still at the factory; with hinges, glazing system (glass, seal, bead & fixing), fire and (if required) smoke seals and ironmongery. Doorsets are supplied as fully finished units with a single fire certificate.
