In support of Fire Door Safety Week 2023, Ahmarra hosted an informative CPD event at our production facility in Havant, Hampshire. This insightful event provided an opportunity for contractors, architects, building surveyors and fire safety officers to learn more about the importance of fire door specification and the critical role they play in saving lives.
The event included a presentation by Ahmarra’s Business Development Director, Martyn Fennell, which covered key topics such as how fire doors are manufactured, tested, certified, installed and perform in a fire situation, whilst offering clarity on the specification process.
We were pleased to have our suppliers Dormakaba and Lorient supporting the event. Dormakaba gave a talk on closer types and hardware in their mobile showroom, whilst Lorient were on hand to discuss door sealing systems.
Attendees were also given a tour of our purpose-built manufacturing facility by Ahmarra’s Sales Director Ian Martin, so they could experience first-hand how our bespoke timber doorsets, frames and screens are made.
