Ahmarra were thrilled to win Made In Britain’s ‘Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award’ 2024. The Made In Britain Impact Awards celebrate the very best in British manufacturing, measurable success in marketing, sales, sustainable business, team leadership and innovation. Our Business Development Manager, Martin Williams, attended the event at West Midlands Safari Park and was delighted to accept this prestigious award.
Made In Britain said, “Our winners are making a meaningful impact in British manufacturing, and we are delighted to showcase their incredible work. Congratulations to all members named winners, runners-up, and highly commended!”
The Sustainability category was judged by Marianne Lehnis, Founder of The Green Techpreneur and Forbes Climatetech Contributor.
Marianne said, “I was honoured to be a judge at Made in Britain, to give credit where its due, to the businesses who go the extra mile.
Ahmarra Door Solutions gave an impressive demonstration of their commitment to achieving a net-zero goal by 2030. They are a force for good, from their manufacturing facility, and circular economy practices to planting wildflowers and grass, employee and community impact initiatives, and earning numerous environmental certifications.”
Sustainability is one of Ahmarra’s core values. We value the world we live in and constantly strive to implement initiatives that have a positive environmental impact, whilst supporting our local community and creating a better work place for our team. As such, Ahmarra moved to a new purpose-built manufacturing facility in 2021. Designed with sustainability in mind, our energy efficient premises have an A+ rated Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Always striving to improve our environmental performance, we have introduced initiatives that span enhancing green energy through installing 800 solar panels on our roof and introducing electric vehicles to implement comprehensive recycling techniques and re-sue or re-purpose waste.
Ahmarra are also finalists in the Security & Fire Excellence Awards ‘Sustainability Champion’ category.
