Congratulations to our Sales Estimator, Joshua Ballingall on being a finalist for PETA’s Apprentice of the Year awards

Joshua attended the awards ceremony at PETA to receive his award from the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth May 2017- May 2018 Cllr. Ken Ellcome.

Joshua completed his apprenticeship in 2017 and has become a very valued member of the Ahmarra sales team and a fantastic role model for PETA’s apprenticeship scheme.

Joshua initially trained as a fire door estimator, gaining vital office and technical skills alongside experienced members of the team and quickly gained his Advanced Apprenticeship qualification. He has started a new qualification in Project Management with the aims of progressing into a Project Management role at Ahmarra.

Joshua commented “The apprenticeship scheme has been very successful for me. Its opened my eyes to an industry I hadn’t even considered. As well as giving me the opportunity to gain/develop; experience, skills, higher qualifications – whilst quite happily avoiding the debt of Uni!”.

Ahmarra is extremely proud of the Apprenticeship programme that we have in place, which has proved to be very successful in progressing apprentices into senior roles. We recognise that it is important that the manufacturing and construction industry continues to invest in future generations.
