Ahmarra hosted another successful fire door CPD last week, and would like to thank all who attended and supported the event.
A full house, we were pleased to welcome members of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue and Portsmouth City Council, as well as guests from local architect firms, construction contractors and NHS Trusts to our manufacturing facility in Havant.
Our Business Development & Specification Director Martyn Fennell, delivered an insightful presentation on how fire doors are specified, manufactured, tested, certified, installed and perform. Guests also had the opportunity to observe each stage of the fire door manufacturing process – from start to finish – during a factory tour.
We were delighted to be joined by Steve Badgery from dormakaba, who gave an engaging talk on door closers and their applications aboard the dormakaba mobile showroom, which was on-site for the event. The showroom provided a hands-on experience and showcased a range of innovative solutions in a unique and interactive setting.
Ahmarra received some excellent feedback. An Architectural Technician from a local architect practice said;
“A superb morning at the Ahmarra Factory. Really impressed with the professionalism and the factory equipment. Quality control was astounding. The Dormakaba ironmongery showroom was also very good, and I felt that I had learned a lot from the CPD.”
