Ahmarra offer dual certification for both Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture and Q-Mark Enhanced Security for our Secured By Design (SBD) internal flat entrance doors.
These certified security fire doors provide peace of mind that the people, property and assets within the building are protected from opportunist thieves, vandalism, attack, fire and smoke. In order to achieve independent, third-party certification, Ahmarra submitted sample doorsets for primary testing to a UKAS accredited testing facility. The tests conducted demonstrated the door’s ability to resist fire for at least 30 minutes, as well as an intruder’s attempts to use stealth to gain entry to PAS 24 test standards. Third-party certification ensures doors not only meet stringent security standards, but continue to be manufactured to a consistent quality through regular audit checks.
All Secured By Design (SBD) housing developments require entrance doors to have third-party security certification. SBD is an official police initiative that’s purpose is to improve the security of buildings and their surroundings, by incorporating crime prevention measures at the design stage. The initiative has achieved significant success, including one million homes built to SBD standards with reductions in crime of up to 87%.
