Ahmarra Manufactures Chevron Veneered Doors for Local Architect Firm

Ahmarra manufactured a series of stylish timber fire doors for an architect firm’s head office in Fareham, Hampshire. The client chose a quarter-cut American White Oak veneer which was cut into chevrons, creating a highly distinctive look. The doors were supplied pre-hung in their frames with factory-fitted matt black lever handles, butt hinges, locks and escutcheons, as well as acoustic seals.

Made from FSC® certified timber, that is legally logged from responsibly managed forests, the doors meet high environmental standards. And as well as style, these Q-Mark certified doors deliver on performance, with an FD60 fire rating.

The architect firm’s premises are an accessible, open plan space that looks out onto a garden area. The workspace promotes the value of good design on mental health, wellbeing and collaboration – the firm’s core values. Incorporating a range of natural materials the space has a comfortable yet contemporary feel, which these internal doors complement perfectly.
