Contractor: Orion Group
Type of works: Manufacture & Installation of NFR, FD30s & FD60s Fire Doors
Ahmarra manufactured and installed FD30s, FD60s and non fire-rated doorsets for a commercial office space in Yateley, Hampshire.
The industrial unit was once a kebab factory, but has since been transformed by Orion Group to meet the client-specific requirements of the marine technology company moving into it. The unit now houses contemporary offices, laboratories, storage areas, toilets & shower rooms, and features an additional mezzanine floor. The reception area, which has windows from floor to ceiling, is filled with natural light and looks out on to the leafy surrounds of the estate.
The building has natural, neutral tones throughout. As such, these bespoke internal doors are faced with Polyrey’s new Cathedral Oak (C206) wood-effect laminate. The impact-resistant, high-pressure laminate features built in anti-bacterial protection. Stylish satin black ironmongery was selected to match other features throughout the building’s interior, such as the dark ceilings, window frames, stairs and pillars. Doors were supplied with pre-primed frames manufactured from engineered softwood – a premium quality, sustainably sourced timber that offers dimensional stability. The Orion Group team painted the door frames on-site in a dark grey, offering ample LRV contrast between the white walls and light wood-effect laminate.
These pre-hung doorsets are a combination of non fire-rated, and Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture certified FD30s & FD60s fire-rated doors. Ahmarra are FSC® certified (FSC C018847), which means all of these timber doors and frames are supporting responsible forestry. The doors incorporate a severe-duty 54mm thick construction throughout and are lipped on all four edges in solid oak for longevity.
The doors were fitted by our experienced Q-Mark Fire Door Installation team. All of our installers are Constructionline Gold, CHAS (Contractors’ Health And Safety) scheme and SafeContractor accredited, ensuring a safe environment and mitigating supply chain risk.
