Ahmarra Manufactures Miniature Sample Fire Doorset for Major NHS Hospital

Ahmarra manufactured a miniature sample fire doorset for a major hospital refurbishment project, to demonstrate the features and benefits of our PVC clad doorsets. This was part of a Fire Door CPD for the NHS Trust team.
Designed for the healthcare environment, this FD60 pre-hung doorset is encapsulated in 2mm impact resistant PVC-u that features an anti-bacterial additive that is integrated within the sheet material construction, causing 99.9% of bacteria to die within 24 hours. The PVC-u material has been applied to the door facings, removable edges, seamless glazing beads, frames, stops and architrave, and also forms the kick plates on this example.
This bespoke doorset offers two looks in one design, to assist with the client’s specification decision-making process. On one side, the architect selected Storm Grey PVC for the door’s facing and glazing bead, contrasting Snow White PVC edge protection and a Steel Grey PVC kick plate, which matches the frame. On the other side, the architect selected complementary colours – Snow White PVC for the door’s facing and Storm Grey PVC for the kick plate.
This durable doorset features a Dormakaba TS93 cam action door closer with slide arm with a stylish silver finish. The low opening force of this closer, combined with the satin stainless steel pull handle, are ideal for healthcare environments as they enable ease of access for all users.
HTM-58 Signage, which indicates the door’s FD60/S fire and smoke rating, has been factory-fitted. The door features Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture plugs, which also indicate its fire-rating for future fire door inspections.
The satin stainless steel lift-off hinges make it quicker, easier and safer for installers to hang the doorsets on-site.
