Wernick Group were contracted to deliver the hospital’s brand new modular building, which provides rehabilitation services to patients recovering from head injuries and strokes. Doorsets were manufactured and installed under the BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door scheme. Highly durable, these impact-resistant doorsets are built to withstand the demands of a busy healthcare environment.

Type of works: Manufacture of Over 200 Fire Doorsets

Ahmarra manufactured over 200 fire doors for Pears Building – the UCL Institute for Immunity and Transplantation medical research centre in London. Avi Contracts, who were sub-contracted by Willmott Dixon, selected us to manufacture the doorsets. Designed by Hopkins Architects, the building required a range of non fire-rated, fire-rated and acoustic-rated doorsets. The pre-hung doorsets were finished in Formica® Fog Grey and Storm Grey laminate, as well as American White Oak crown cut wood veneer facings, complimenting the centre’s modern interior design theme. All doors were supplied with factory-fitted stainless steel ironmongery.
